We have all experienced times in our life when others implemented a change but it didn't effectively solve the issue it was trying to fix. Sometimes we can get so caught up in trying to do something, that we don't take the time to consider if what we are doing is really going to address the issue at hand. As you think about the change you want to create in your organization or community, it is important you find a solution that will have a maximum impact. In this course you will learn about systems thinking archetypes which help you think through how common solutions can go wrong and how to avoid them. You will also learn about high leverage interventions which ensure you pick the solution that has the most impact. Then you will learn about the behavior engineering model and self-determine theory as a way to ensure your solutions include the "people" element of the change so others are motived and can be successful in carrying out the change.
